Karl Sonntag is the Director of Pre-Construction at AO SERVICES, a values-based, full service commercial construction firm founded in 2010 and based in Central Texas.

Karl is responsible for procurement, project management, estimating, contracts, budgeting and progress billing. Karl leads the Pre-Construction team by utilizing his experience working from the ground up. Karl began his career in 2005 at Cash Construction Company as a laborer and equipment operator, moving through the ranks to a Senior Project Manager and now Director at AO SERVICES.

Karl strives to improve the operations of each project he is involved on, and has worked and led on notable single family development projects including Saddlecreek Master Planned Development, Hutto Highlands Master Planned Community, Lively Master Planned Community as well as a major waterline project that included 26,000 LF of 54” and 48” waterline installation at the San Patricio Treated Transmission Waterline.

Outside of work, Karl enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, sports, outdoors, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Karl attends and serves at Real Life Church in Austin.

Karl grew up in Buda, Texas and went on to play baseball & football at Texas Lutheran University, and then earned a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Construction Science at Texas A&M University in 2010.
